Future design is a pedagogical project to introduce the studies and methodo¬logies of the future at university. It has been offered to students of the Master Barcelona Design (MBDesign) since 2017 and this book is nothing more than a compilation of notes, instructions, and exercises for the classes, developed and improved over 5 editions of the course. The compilation of the cases presented as well as the proposals and exercises to be worked on has been conceived as a tool to support the practice of the disci¬pline known as futures intelligence, futures studies or simply futures. The content focuses on the field of design and aims to facilitate innovation. The proposed methodology tries to combine a certain academic approach with the application of techniques and methods for the study of a field of work in which each student’s design project is situated.
