<dc:description>The MiCare – Migrant Training in Caregiving project, aims to train migrants in order to work as caregivers for older people and people with care needs (Erasmus + Grant Agreement No: 2019-1-UK01-KA204-062046). Erasmus+ is the European Union’s (EU) programme for education, training, youth and sport. The project is funded under Key Action 2 - Strategic Partnerships for adult education. The consortium consists of 7 partners from 6 European countries, Cyprus, Greece, Spain, Italy, UK and Germany, covering a wide geographical range of Europe. All project partners are organisations with long-standing experience in a range of relevant fields, including migration, training, caregiving and communication. The general objective of the project is to research labour market needs and achieve a better match between the skills and demands in the EU’s labour markets by recruiting new migrant workers with the appropriate set of skills, to meet the demands and shortages of the European labour market in caregiving. The MiCARE project proposes the development of an intensive training program for immigrants who wish to work as caregivers of older people, disabled people and people with long term health conditions. MiCARE's target group are TCNs (Third Country Nationals).</dc:description>
