The English Department of the University of Alicante had the honour and pleasure to renew its commitment to the association by hosting the conference for a second time. Over thirty years have elapsed since the department first hosted the conference in 1988. It is very rewarding to look back and realize that this has been a time of continued growth, diversification and consolidation not only for our department but for the field of English Studies in Spain, and for the association that unites us across the varied interests we profess as scholars and teachers. 2020
